How does refinishing remove scratches?

To rid your surfaces of scratching, we start by sanding floors to remove the layers that are scratched. That’s why hardwood has to be at least 1/8 inch thick for the possibility of refinishing.
After sanding floors
Once the layers and scratches are gone, we can refinish them with fresh stain color, texture, and sealant. Many homeowners go with the same colors and surfaces they had to start with, but some change them for a new look and feel.
Once all the work is done, you’ll need to wait at least 24 hours before walking on your new surfaces in sock feet. After hardwood floor refinishing, bringing furniture back in or walking on the surfaces in shoes should only happen after 48 hours or more.
